DESCRIPTION: Horizontal surface trackway consisting of two rows of numerous transversely elongated unfid to bifid impressions. Impressions range from rounded to sharp.

POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Arthropods such as trilobites

GEOLOGIC RANGE: Cambrian-Pennsylvanian

REMARKS: Description from Hantzschel (1975) and Martino (1989). Osgood (1971) synonymized Petalichnus with Trachomatichnus, but was rejected by Hantzschel (1975).
