Mirandaichnium Acenolaza, 1978


DESCRIPTION: Straight, horizontal trackway of two rows of slightly curved, symmetric imprints. Imprints are tapered internally and are perpendicular to oblique to trackway axis. Rows are compound and are arranged into cycles of eight imprints.

ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: N/A

POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Arthropod with at least 8 legs

GEOLOGIC RANGE: Permian-Pennsylvanian

REMARKS: Description from Buatois et al. (1998) Similar to Umfolozia (Anderson, 1981) and some Mirandaichnium ichnospecies were reclassified under the Umfolozia ichnogenus (Acenolaza & Buatois, 1993).
