DESCRIPTION: Long, horizontal burrows with irregular longitudinal ridges or wrinkles

BEHAVIOR(S): Feeding burrow of a deposit-feeding organism

ENVIRONMENTAL SETTINGS: Found in sandstone turbidites in deep marine deposits

POSSIBLE TRACEMAKERS: Marine worms

GEOLOGIC RANGE: Cambrian–recent

REMARKS: Synonymized as Palaeophycus by Pemberton and Frey, 1982, Jensen, 1997, but synonymy was rejected by Uchman, 1998.
